Wheeling Police are investigating a breaking and entering and shots fired incident that occurred over the weekend. 

On Sunday, around 9:45 a.m., police were called to Ohio Street on Wheeling Island for an initial breaking and entering that occurred overnight. When officers arrived, they discovered a firearm was discharged inside the residence, which struck a neighboring home. 

There were no injuries from the gunshot, and information remains limited at this time. Currently, no suspects have been identified as the investigation continues.
