One person has been arrested by the Wheeling Police Department after an early morning vehicle pursuit that ended in Marshall County.
WPD was called to the 2500 block of Eoff Street around 1:45 a.m. today for an initial welfare check. When the officers arrived, the individual left the area in a car. Officers then located the person, who fled from officers through the Center Wheeling area, south on WV 2 for several miles, and ending on Fishers Lane outside McMechen city limits.
Wheeling Police, joined by several other law enforcement agencies, were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody.
Evan Jackson Fisher, 29 of Wheeling was arrested and charged with one count of felony fleeing in a vehicle. He was taken to the Northern Regional Jail pending a court arraignment.
