Get ready for an evening of holiday cheer as the Bridge & Tunnel Collective proudly presents the return of "A Very Bridge & Tunnel Christmas" on Saturday, December 16, at 7 p.m. This family-friendly holiday variety show will be held at Oglebay Institute's Towngate Theatre, promising an evening of holiday music and community spirit.
This year's lineup will feature several talented local musicians, including Mr. Fancy Pants, The Pussyfooters, Chelsey Keding, Ananga Martin and Matt Smith, Rosezella and the Visions, Casket Candy, and Weird Lightning.
"The Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission is very excited to support this year's Bridge and Tunnel Christmas Show at Towngate," said Bethany Decker, secretary of the Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission. "This event aligns with our mission to support local musicians as they bring their talent, sprinkled with a little joy, to Wheeling."
In addition to the musical variety show, attendees can enjoy refreshments provided by WHISK Bakery at intermission. Beer, wine, and other light refreshments will be available for purchase as well. The festivities continue during the after-party, where guests can meet and mingle with the talented musicians and commemorate the evening by visiting the free photo booth.
This marks the fifth year of hosting "A Very Bridge & Tunnel Christmas," and the event has evolved into a cherished tradition, spreading holiday cheer while supporting a worthy cause. All proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the Wheeling Soup Kitchen.
“It’s been a real joy to do this show every year. As many of us have families of our own, we try every year to support a local organization that aims to support others in need, especially those who help out our local children,” explained Sean Decker, founding member of the Bridge and Tunnel Collective and event organizer. “We chose The Wheeling Soup Kitchen to receive the proceeds from this year’s event because, now more than ever, prices for groceries have risen to such high prices that we immediately knew we wanted to help families in need.”
Tickets to “A Very Bridge & Tunnel Christmas” are $10 and can be purchased online at oionline.com, by calling 304-232-7700, or at the door (if available).
