Earlier this morning, Wheeling Police filed murder charges against 36-year-old Jermaine Justin Copeland in connection to the murder of 47-year-old Shirley Ann Wolfe.

Police were dispatched to 107 Ohio Street on Wheeling Island, where the suspect and victim lived together, around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday after a 911 call was made coming from the address.

Copeland was taken to the Northern Regional Jail pending an initial court arraignment. The victim’s body has been taken to the West Virginia Medical Examiners Officer for an autopsy.
