It is our intent to make the process as easy as possible for business owners. Here are the steps:

1. Complete a preliminary questionnaire and business license assessment sheet. These documents can be obtained by clicking here or by contacting the Finance Office . We are happy to assist you in preparing your new business for operation.
2. Complete the Inspection Checklist.
3. Obtain Zoning Approval.
4. Contact Building Inspector, Health Inspector, and Fire Inspector.
5. Final Walk Through.
6. A deposit on the Business & Occupation Tax is required with the payment of the license fee. The deposit is deductible upon filing your first annual return.
7. Complete a business license application and return it to the Finance Department.
