Athletic Field Status

This page will be utilized to update the status of the following fields. Fields will be closed by city staff when it is determined that field conditions are not favorable for play or if the field is undergoing maintenance. Every effort will be made to notify scheduled users of field closings before scheduled play. During inclement weather, groups are encouraged to check this page for up-to-date information. Should inclement weather develop during play, organizations are encouraged to exercise sound judgment in determining if the field may be played upon without risk of damage.

All Athletic groups must adhere to the established Field Maintenance and Usage Guidelines.

Field assignments are approved by the Wheeling Parks & Recreation Department.

This page is updated no earlier than 1:00 p.m. daily. Updates are made only if the status changes.
Leagues are urged to exercise good judgment when deciding whether or not to play on fields that have experienced severe weather after being posted as open
