Barbie Has Arrived at Toy Museum

Re: Press Release – Barbie arrives at Toy and Train Museum!

The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum in Wheeling, West Virginia will be hosting the temporary exhibit "Barbie and other 20th Century Dolls". The exhibit, which runs now through December 31, 2010 at the museum, features many Barbie dolls from the past 50 years.

The dolls are on loan from Mickie McCoskey. Mickie has been collecting Barbie since 1995, when she got connected to the internet and discovered the world of doll collecting. She thought about her childhood Barbie, her favorite Barbie outfit, and the case that held it all. In 1996, Mickie went to her first doll show, where she bought her first vintage Barbie. Since then she has collected, joined doll clubs, gone to numerous Barbie conventions, and enjoyed the fun and camaraderie of collecting.

In 2000, when she met her husband Bill, she learned about the other side of collecting. Bill has been a toy car enthusiast, and has been involved with antique car and toy shows since his teens. Together, they started Yesterdays Toys and Collectibles, and have vended at toy and antique shows. In 2008, Mickie opened Yesterdays Toys on the internet site icollect247.com.

Why not plan a visit to the Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum and check out all of the collectible Barbies on display. This exhibit will only be here for a few more months, so Barbie collectors and fans alike should stop by and peruse this interesting collection of Barbie dolls!

The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum is currently on its summer hours and is open 7 days a week. The museum opens at 9AM and the last admission is at 4PM.
