The City’s curbside recycling program operates on a bi-weekly pick-up schedule for residential households utilizing City-approved containers.

The following items will be recycled:

  • magazines, newspapers
  • office paper
  • aluminum, bi-metal, steel, tin cans

To sign up for recyclables pick-up, obtain a recycling bin, or other questions, please call (304) 234-3653.

Additionally, the Ohio County Solid Waste Authority sponsors recycling drop-off locations throughout the area. Any resident of Ohio County may bring their recyclables to these locations at any time.

Accepted items:

  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • Plastics (1, 2, 4, 5)
  • Cardboard (not wax-coated)
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines

Drop-off locations:

  • Oglebay Park at Site One (near Oglebay Good Zoo)
  • Clearview Volunteer Fire Department (166 Clearview Ave)
